There are more than fifteen thousand courses available throughout Europe that can lead to your chosen degree that are taught in English. Getting your college degree while playing hockey in Europe is not a new path toward career development or toward professional hockey opportunities in Europe.

If the course of study you are interested in, is not listed in our “studies” links, just ask, and we can look for the degree path you would like to take. Many studies in Europe may have a different name or description from those we are familiar with in North America.

All universities accepting student athletes from the United States and Canada provide their curiculum and all classes in English.

College hockey, and hockey placement while attending a university in Europe has been part of the development path in Europe for more than a decade. While the process is certainly different from those that American and Canadian student athletes are used to, the opportunities are only limited by an athletes desire to complete his or her education while competing at a high level.

  • Chose a course of study.
  • Complete an information request form.
  • A placement specialist will then email you a list of locations and universities that offer your choice of programming.
  • An appointment will be set for a phone interview with a placement specialist.
  • The placement specialist will walk you through the enrollment process.
  • Once enrolled the placement specialist will then ensure you are placed on the Univeristy team, or on a team within driving distance of the University. This team may be amateur or professional depending on your resume, import player limits, and your playing experience.

All universities are pre screened to offer courses of study and degree paths that transfer to the United States or Canada for all professions requiring a license.
